Lit Chat. Regarding Heroes, mostly, but...well, you know how these things go.
Tomorrow, at about 1pm PST. I'll start it off; get online anytime, though - I'm sure we'll be going for a while. :D
My AIM screenname: someone1813
HEROES IN TWO HOURS!!!
Nothing detailed or spoilery. Also, did you know that Stepanie Meyer is writing two more books for this series!? I sure didn't!
Exciting!!!
Finally finished New Moon, by the way. lmao. Just in time, it seems.
Could someone possibly find and upload "Gimme Shelter" by Keith Urban & Alicia Keys? They performed it together at Live Earth, and I can't find it anywhere.
I'll upload an equally-awesome song for you. :)
West Coast by Coconut Records*
* Lead singer is JASON SCHWARTZMAN, from "Rushmore," "I (heart) Huckabees" and "Shopgirl"
Seriously. Download. Like, now.
I added the lyrics to "I Am John" because I think it's especially beautiful. "Never gonnna let you down // But I will always let you down." *dies* I recommend that you read the lyrics along with the song, at least the first time you listen to it. =D PLEASE let me know what you think!!!
First off, LOOK:
He has a shirt that says DSC!!! Actually, "The DSC for Life." lmao!!! I'd seen pics of this photoshoot, but it wasn't until I saw this icon that I realized it! Gosh, I love him.
The BEAUTIFUL icon is by Jess
My cranky mood of the past few days is gone...I think. ;)
ALSO, I hate this computer mouse, for the record. I can't make icons with it. AT ALL. I finished a one shot that I'm trying to make a banner for, and it's IMPOSSIBLE. *will buy new one soon*
*has to work from 3 till 11 tomorrow* Ugh.
My grandpa's in town for my cousin's graduation on Saturday, and he took us out to breakfast this morning, so that was nice. It was really weird, actually; I accidently overslept, and I woke up at 10:30, which is when my class starts (whoops), and my brother stayed home from school because he was tired (haha), and my g-pa showed up at, like 10:35 (right after I had gotten up), and...it was a cool thing. I really shouldn't have been skipping class this close to finals, but I wouldn't have been able to make it out there in time, so oh well. ;)
As for my mom (who's been having mysterious medical problems), she apparently DOES NOT have fluid in her stomach. Doctor's are stupid, but whatevs. I mean, it's a good thing. They've ruled out all the BAD stuff, but she's still all swollen and they still don't know why. Now he thinks it might be IBS, but they're gonna do a colonoscopy just to rule out colon cancer, because we have a history of that in my family.
Good times, huh?
And...I think that's all. :) *loves you all*
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ÅSA!!!
*huggles you*
(*is still cranky*)
(*will explain eventually*)
I would have posted this earlier, but I slept until 1pm (ah, blissful sleep), and then I had to work (you know this) and I just now got home.
AND I just spilled Dr. Pepper all over my computer desk. Excuse me...
Idiot. *points to self* I didn't get anything on the actual computer, though, thank god. Can you tell I've had a very bad day? Because I have.
Let's not talk about that, though.
Everyone, in case you missed it, check out:
Greatness.
And I can't think of anything else happy to say, lolz. SO, I'll take off and come back when I'm in a better mood. :)
It was SO SLOW, though. I started reading Frankenstein by Mary whatshername. What is her name? Anyhoo, I like it. I didn't think I'd like it. So, coolio. Oh, and my mom bought me a People magazine for work today. Isn't she sweet? *loves mom* Apparently Britney's comeback tour isn't going so well. *sniggers*
ANYhoo, I'm dying to icon, but I don't have all my brushes or screencaps on this computer because we switched out our old one for my great-grandpa's (we got it when he died...which is weird, because all of his emails and files and music and dirty jokes are on it and it makes me miss him). And I don't have Photoshop on my laptop because apparently the disc I have isn't compatible with Windows Vista. But I've started a list of quotes for text icons and I'm trying to get myself organised.
I feel very unorganised and altogether terrible, and I don't like that. I work twelve of the next fourteen days, so that's not a lot of time to get myself together. And I have so many stupid little projects to do for school. My to-do list for the next three weeks is two pages long. Making the list made me feel less panic attack-y, though.
I should really be sleeping right now.
And I'm going a mile-a-minute and I think it's because I just had a very nice text-conversation with Fizzy and human-interaction makes me hyper. lolz. Actually, I think her JKras pictures made me hyper, but that's another story. ;)
I found this old one shot on my computer last night, and I worked on it for a while. It'll be ready to post soon, and I'm really excited about it. It's not my best writing, but I haven't put anything up in so long and I'm really looking forward to some feedback and happy Lit reminscing.
I need to clean my room. Maybe I'll make some coffee and do that, since I have all this energy. Who needs sleep, anyway?
OMG, BTW I should be getting HIGH-SPEED internet within the next few days. *asdrfjaldkfaoeuirqwn* DO you realize what this MEANS? There will be daily music posts and I can download everything and I can watch stuff on YOUTUBE!!! I am so excited.
May 23, 2007 - This past week saw the final episodes air for both Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls, but TV Guide's Michael Ausiello says there could be a future for both, either at home or in a movie theater.
Ausiello says he spoke to Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino this past week, who told him she hopes to make a Gilmore Girls TV-movie that would tie up loose ends left from the end of the series. This is especially notable because Sherman-Palladino left Gilmore before its final season, and wasn't at all involved in the crafting of the last episodes.
Ausiello also reports that he has contacted Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas, asking him if he could reveal how the series might have ended, had he known the show wasn't going to return when they produced the final episodes - the series finale left many plot threads dangling. Thomas responded, "I'm not entirely sure how/when VM would've ended, but I wouldn't discount my taking a stab at a feature script," revealing he's actually trying to conceive of a way to bring Veronica back to life as a feature film.
Thomas added, "But I'm not sure if I could sell a movie based on a little-watched TV series." As Ausiello pointed out however, this isn't unprecedented. Low-rated TV series Firefly and Police Squad! led to the feature films Serenity and The Naked Gun.

I agree with Ali about GG; AS-P left the show in the hands of someone else, knowing that it was most likely the last season. She needs to get over it. As for a VM movie...well, I supoose I'll offer my thoughts on that after I've watched the finale. :)
I registered for fall classes just now, but one of the classes is only supposed to be three days a week, but it came up as a daily class. *headdesk*
Why can't this stuff just go right for once?
I'm tired and I'm cranky and I'm gonna go watch the rest of Valley Girl, because they say stuff like 'tripendicular' and it makes me laugh.
I bought a laptop computer yesterday.
!kjfadfjaih!
It's a Sony VAIO with Windows Vista and it was $750 and I bought it!
It wasn't something I was planning on. I'm not in dire need of my own computer. But it will be nice to have, and Oh-Emm-Gee, I just bought it.
I've transferred all of my files to it and I won't have internet on it for a while, but that's okay.
Speaking of, we're getting high-speed! We've been meaning to for a while, because I told my mom we could split the cost, but we finally got proactive about it. We'll probably start setting it up tomorrow. Not Comcast, though. As Leigh said, I'm not ready to sell my soul. But we're going through the phone company (Qwest) and for a 7Mbps connection, it's $36.99 per month. That's not bad, right?
(Right now I'm connected at 32 Kbps. LOL)
By the way, I need some help. I wanna do wireless internet for my laptop, but I have no real idea as to how that works, and everything I'm reading confuses me. Could anyone help me out?
ALSO, Russ (my dad) called today to tell us that our uncle and his wife? girlfriend? had their twins. So, I have two new cousins named Seth and Aurora that I'll probably never meet. I hope I do. But that would mean seeing my dad, and that's complicated. I just hope that my uncle has his act together and that he doesn't fuck them up too badly. And I hope that their mom's a pretty stable person. (My uncle's not one to hook up with 'stable' women.) I just hope they have good lives.
I have new cousins. That does make me smile.
Weird day, dudes.
ETA: HEROES DVDs AVAILABLE AUGUST 28TH!!! Also, Peter got second place on ign.com's "Who's you favorite Hero?" poll. Hiro won, of course. ;)
I wanted to go see Shrek 3 with a friend tomorrow, but when I called tonight, her sister said she went out of town for the weekend. :( Sad Nikki.
I really want to see it. So, the question is, do I make my brother go with me, or do I see it alone? Both are fairly pathetic options.
Anyone want to skip on over to Spokane and entertain me for the weekend??
(one) I finally had the time to hunker down and finish that 'give me a pairing and I give you a line of fic' meme. Here they are: Rory/Jess * Niki/Peter * Michael/Jan * Logan/Veronica * Rose/Ten * Veronica/Piz. Feel free to comment with more!!!
(two) Finished series one Doctor Who! I like how 'Doomsday' parallelled the first finale with the "Take me back" line. So sad. I must say, I enjoyed it much more than I was expecting. :) Thanks again for the rec!
(three) My mom's blood work all came back normal. Everything about her is normal; physically, that is. ;) I think they're gonna give her a water pill and maybe run one more test. I dunno. She's going in again tomorrow morning, so we'll see.
(four) I have FOUR DAYS off from work. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. All free. I'm going to write and clean and go shopping and get a mani/pedi and see a movie and hang with friends. Hopefully. :p
(five) I wanna buy a Sufjan Stevens album, but I don't know which one to get. Its like I have one song from each album on my MP3 player, lolz, so I have no idea which one I should buy. Any suggestions?
(six) The remake of 'Hairspray' comes out on July 20th! I knew they were doing it, but I didn't know it was done! Such a classic. I didn't get to watch the Oprah thing (*shudders* Ugh, Oprah) 'cause had to work, but I looked it up tonight on imdb.com, and there's a lot of known people in it! Wow. *can't wait to see it* I hope it doesn't suck too much. ;)
(seven) I think I have my class schedule all planned out for the fall. And I think it might kill me. *headdesk*
H E R E @ gracelessladies. No one's commenting. :( I've been trying to branch out to different fandoms and everything, but I'm getting fewer comments than ever before. I'd love your opinions!
Oh, and I did a V O I C E P O S T yesterday. :]
Finished Twilight. I like where it ended, with everyone happy (mostly). I'm a little hesitant to read the sequel for fear the author screwed everything up! lolz. But I enjoyed it. :D
Work was great today! I love great work days. haha. And my mom's ultrasound is tomorrow, which I'm both looking forward to and dreading all at once. I want to know what's going on so badly. But I'm terrified that it's something terrible. I don't think it is. I just want her to stop worrying. Ugh.
What's up with all the stress, man? I mean, just as the pain of my great-grandfather's declining health and subsequent death begins to lessen (just a bit), this pops up. I just had to watch him die, and I can't help but fear that this is going to be bad, too.
No. I'm not going there. I'm not, I'm not, I'm not.
I just won't think about it until tomorrow.
God, I'm tired.
Voice Post!
And for the record, my TV Dinner was gross. I ate Froot Loops instead. ;)
